I have been wanting to do this for a long time, for a vvvery looong time. But I always find an excuse to put it off even though writing has been a very big part of my life. Words captivate me ever since I could remember. I am fascinated by it beyond its forms. Even far beyond just the linguistics and the semantics. I’m drawn to its power to make us experience something that is not ours.

If a picture can paint a thousand words, I’d say a good book can make you live a thousand lives.

So here I am. After almost a year of keeping my blogs private, they are finally entering the public scene. Maybe the world won’t be so critical towards my writing as I have been to myself.

This blog was created for a very selfish reason… to write and to escape the world with words.

Because writing was once my first love. And some time ago, it meant a lot to me. When I was lost, it was there I found myself. It has been my refuge and comfort. It is my God’s gift. I do not know if I can back up the last thing I said. Many times I doubted it, but I once believed it. And I want to believe in it again.
So if my writings will serve other purpose – to inspire, to encourage, to entertain, whatever else it may be, my heart would delight with the thought that God has turned my selfishness to something good, something beautiful.
So welcome to my blog, my musings of anything and everything under the sun. Here not only will I share my crafts, recipes, and DIY projects with you, I’ll also leave you a piece of my heart.
Thanks for stopping by!

I’m Zhi. An artsy, chronic insomniac momma to 4 beautiful children.

We live in a small town of Port Elgin, where they say you can find the most beautiful sunset in Ontario. My husband works at The Plant as most people here do as a mechanical engineer.

I am now a full time mom, and this is my first time blogging (yay! so please bare with me!).

I was born and raised a city girl, but I am a country girl at heart. I love spending my days at home cuddling with our babes, walking bare feet, and experimenting in the kitchen. I <3 writing, arts and crafts, home decorating/renovating, and DIY projects that are budget-friendly. Another chapter of my life started as I began to homeschool our girls while attending to the needs of our 2 year old son and his baby sister.

There you have it. This is me. Welcome here! I hope you stick around šŸ™‚
